FAQ

Is AIQ always more prestigious than state quota?

Not necessarily — it includes AIIMS/JIPMER and central colleges, but many state government medical colleges are equally well-regarded within their state and nationally. Prestige varies by individual institution, not by which quota it's allotted through.

Can I get an AIQ seat and a state seat at the same time?

You can be allotted a seat in both processes simultaneously since they run independently, but you can only join one college — accepting one typically requires you to withdraw from further rounds of the other, so check both processes' exit rules before deciding.

Does my state quota rank differ from my AIQ/All-India rank?

Your NEET All-India Rank (AIR) is the same number everywhere, but a few states compute and publish their own separate state merit rank for their own counselling — always check whether your state uses AIR or a state-specific rank.
